Harmony

HARMONY—This Iredell County town was originally named Harmony Hill after the Harmony Hill Camp Meeting, an annual Baptist and Methodist church meeting. The first meeting, held in 1846, lasted two weeks. Today, the event continues as an annual one-day event held on the second Sunday of October.

When the town was incorporated in 1927, the community dropped the 'Hill' and became known as Harmony.
