ELMORE formerly ELMORE'S CROSSROADS is located on US 74 in Scotland County west of Laurinburg. In the upcoming years, Elmore may be forgotten as US 74 will be upgraded to a freeway and become Interstate 74 as it heads towards I-95 and the beach.
