Barnard

Barnard, originally uploaded by Adam's Journey.

Named after Job Barnard who settled in the area in 1794. Around 1830, a post office by the name of Barnard's Station was established.  The nearby bridge over the French Broad River is a popular kayak and canoe launching point.
