Georgeville

GEORGEVILLE - Eastern Cabarrus County community named after George Shinn. (No, not THAT one.)  Most likely named after George Cornelius Shinn (1859-1947).  Was also known as Shinnville - but most likely changed to Georgeville, so it would not be confused with the Shinnville in nearby Iredell County.
